Remote Sensing for Plastic Waste
I try to approach the remote sensing technology to detect plastics (Thanks to numerous of researchers: Biermann, et al; Topozuelis, et al., Themistocleous, et al., Kruse, et al. — the truly inspirations trough this work). I mainly utilize open source and cloud processing in satellite imagery, since processing the big data will be hard to manage in the traditional GIS way.
Below here is the example how I operated satellite imagery processing using Google Earth Engine.
The practicability and vast improvement of the satellite imagery technology giving me more interests into the space technologies.
